About our texts

Chesapeake Hypnotherapysends text messages about appointments only. Here's what we send, how you sign up, and how to stop.

What we text

  • A confirmation when you book a consultation or session
  • A reminder before your appointment
  • Replies to questions you text us about your appointment

We never send marketing texts. Message frequency varies with your appointments. Message and data rates may apply.

How you sign up

Texts are optional, and you can book without them. There are two ways to sign up.

When you book on this website

The booking form has an unchecked box. You only get texts if you check it. It reads:

By checking this box, you agree to receive appointment texts from Chesapeake Hypnotherapy, such as booking confirmations and reminders. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We won't share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Consent is not a condition of booking.

When you call

When Rickcan't pick up, our automated receptionist answers. It's an AI, and it says so at the start of the call. Before sending any texts, it asks:

“I can text a confirmation and a reminder to the number you're calling from. If you say yes, you agree to receive appointment texts from Chesapeake Hypnotherapy. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We won't share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Is that okay?”

If you gave a different number during the call, it says “the number you gave me” instead. Only a clear yes signs you up. Right after, you get a text confirming it, with how to stop and how to get help.

How to stop or get help

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop getting texts. You'll get one last text confirming it.
  • Reply HELP for help.
  • Reply START to sign up again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text message opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
